What Did Bad Boys Film at M3 Studios?!

Making a comeback isn’t always easy but Martin Lawerence and Will Smith made a major comeback with their release of Bad Boys for Life.

And here is an exclusive in site, some of the scenes were shot right at M3 Studios. And if you have no idea what Bad Boys is let me give you a quick backstory.

So back in 1995 Martin Lawerence and Will Smith made the legendary movie bad boys where they played buddy cops.

In this action comedy film, these two best friends fought crime.They went on to make a sequel in 2003 and now 17 years later the legendary team made a comeback with Bad Boys for life.

 

Bad Boys for Life Broke box office records in their very first weekend in theaters. I mean come on who doesn’t want to see this dynamic duo come back to life on the screen just one last time. Many people saw this movie as a moment of nostalgia because its a movie that many grew up with watching and enjoying. Plus we hadn’t seen this amazing duo together since 2003.

What Really Happened at M3 Studios in 2019

Since 2003, M3 Studios has been your local Favorite Film Studio in Miami. Now its 2020 and we’re adding another extraordinary year under our belt. In 2019 we had many breakthrough moments like that time that Lunay, Bad Bunny, and Daddy Yankee, shot the music video Soltera Remix right here in the studio, which by the way, now has 463 MILLION views. Like what?! And then we had Becky G and Myke Towers shoot their music Video for Dollar that has over 181 MILLION views. I don’t know about you but that’s a lot of people. To put it in perspective, those two music videos combined equal the population of China. Like that’s insane!! I am legitimately mind blown 🤯

 

M3 Studios has had many renovations through the years but in 2019 we had a full-on facelift!

It took us a lot of work and patience but, it is finally complete. We wanted to start our time consuming renovation process by batteling the exterior first. With over 20 men working on various sections at a time, filling in cracks, sanding down, priming, and finally painting it took us a very long time to get the exterior to where it is now. We also added a glass ceiling to our outside patio area, and it took over 6 men to put up one glass at a time to make sure it didn’t crack. Lets just say, the panic attacks are finally done. After the construction and fixing was done we called in some local artist to finish up the job. They did such an amazing job adding mesmerizing murals to the once blank canvas.

We also renovated our support areas in Studio C, but you will have to check in for our next blog to see that. We added new services that include event space, exotic car rentals, office space, SRT Team, etc. We definitely did a lot and spent a lot of time, money, effort, and struggle, but it is finally done and we are so excited to show it off.

Now that was in 2019. In 2020, we have a lot of more surprises in store. Which includes but definitely not limited to… Updated website to make it easier to choose the stage that’s right for you, providing stunts and rescue services to clients, ability to capture ‘behind the scenes’ on-site, exotic vintage vehicle rentals on-site, a new
studio/rehearsal space, renovating studio support areas, interior art mural project, new standing sets, and so many more upgrades. You won’t want to miss out on all the new goodies we have in the works!

Record-Breaking Moments at M3 Studios

So the M3 Studios team was in a meeting one day, and one of our team members asked: “How many views do you think all the productions that were shot here have combined?”. We all just stared at each other blankly. “I mean one music video literally has over 1.7 BILLION views alone. So easily over 6 Billion views altogether,” said another one of our team members. 

All of us were genuinely shocked by the number of views that music videos shot here at M3 Studios have. No matter if its altogether or separate videos, that’s a lot of views. And lets not even get started with all the achievements that the top celebrities in the industry have received because of their music video shot here at M3 Studios. 

This is the famous and colorful 3 spheres box. Created and set up right here at M3 Studios.

Let me just say that again, in case you missed it in the beginning… We’re talking about 1.7 BILLION Views, and that’s ONE video! That’s insane.

That was for the music video x (Equis) by Nicky Jam feat. J Balvin. They won so many awards for the song and music video, which including but not limited to, Billboard Latin Music Award for Airplay Song of the Year, Billboard Latin Music Award for Latin Rhythm Song of the Year, iHeartRadio Music Award for Latin Song of the Year!

Another artist that has had many record breaking moments her at M3 Studios is Ozuna. He has had phenomenal success throughout the years with over 913 MILLION views combined on his music videos Solita, Quisiera Alejarme, and Brindemos! 

We are so proud and please that Nicky Jam and Ozuna choose M3 Studios to shoot their record-breaking music videos. We are so happy for all the success that they have gained throughout the years.

Filmed at M3: Pitbull – Celebrate (from the Original Motion Picture Penguins of Madagascar)

Mr. International, aka, Mr. 305, aka Pitbull was back at M3 Studios Miami, to shoot the music video for “Celebrate”  from the Dreamwork’s original motion picture “Penguins of Madagascar”.

Pitbull has made M3 Studios his official production home. Over the last several years we’ve hosted countless music video shoots for the international star, he always brings the heat to our facility.

Filmed at M3: Flo Rida- Can’t Believe It ft. Pitbull

What we have all been waiting for has finally arrived! We heard Flo Rida and Pitbull were collaborating on a new single, bringing Miami’s hottest artists together.

‘Can’t Believe It’ was filmed in our very own M3 studios. The entire video was shot in one day, and featured the luxurious and extravagant including a speed boat and a Bugatti. For those on set, we got a taste of what the celeb world feels like, and the atmosphere was entrancing. Even though these are world renown celebs, they are some of the friendliest and most down to earth people, and all the set members feel like one big family.

Videographer / Editor Internship

ABOUT THE POSITION:
We are looking for a creative Videographer intern to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands on experience and be part of a rapidly growing entertainment media company based out of  the largest film studio in Miami.   Our office environment is fun and casual while remaining fast paced and professional.  You will work in a team environment alongside digital marketing strategists, designers, copywriters, project managers, and company executives.  You will gain the necessary experience needed to succeed in this field.   We work with clients ranging from independent artist to major label recording artist.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
-Creating viral music videos, documentary style videos, behind the scene videos, animations, mashup videos, lyric videos and more for music artists and entertainment brands
-Editing, shooting, creating treatments, brainstorming ideas
-Creating time-lapse videos and other cool viral ideas that build brand value and get attention
-Shoot at our music videos and productions to utilize the footage to create teasers, behind the scenes, interviews, process documentary, and features
-Grab footage of fashion shows, events and parties that we put on for clients to create viral videos online
-Assist directors in our production company, assignments range from commercials to music videos

REQUIRED SKILLS:
-Enrolled in College, some College experience, or graduated with a degree in a related field.
-Must be efficient with Avid or Final Cut Pro
-Must know how to edit and/or shoot (a plus if you can also do motion graphics).
-Strong visual skills and a modern style to shooting and editing
-Ability to be proactive during shoots and work your way around sets
-Must love the music industry

ADDITIONAL INFO:
-Location: By the Miami International Airport in the largest Film, TV, and Photography Studio
-Compensation: Unpaid internship (3 month commitment) with a possibility for hire
-Hiring is based on performance and current business needs
-Must have reliable transportation and a working laptop
-Flexible work schedule to accommodate your school needs if any.  Ideally 1 to 3 days per week

From May 21st- 23rd the Kids from Somerset Academy visited us and painted an amazing mural. We were so glad to host such talented and spirited kids and watch them create something truly spectacular. Many thanks to everyone who made this event possible.
